Our Philosophy
The Pirate + The Gypsy is a Canadian based sustainable bespoke jewelry studio and private boutique located in New Westminster, BC. We focus on ecologically conscious materials and transparency with consideration to the jewelry’s impact on our environment.
We believe that sustainability begins with longevity and by creating timeless, bespoke, heirloom quality jewelry that will be cherished and passed on we are keeping them out of our landfills and on our bodies. All collections are crafted with high quality hypoallergenic recycled metals in small batches.
For every piece of jewelry purchased one tree is planted in connection with our partnership with One Tree Planted.

And this is the best part: for every pendant sold we will plant 10 Trees in connection with our partnership with One Tree Planted. You will also receive a certificate commemorating your donation of Trees aiding in our reforestation efforts.

Our Materials
♻️ Recycled Silver + Gold - We work with recycled silver and gold to reduce our environmental impact, and conduct due diligence to ensure that the silver and gold is certified recycled content from scrap or post-consumer sources.
✨ Metals - Our sterling silver, 10K and 14k solid gold pieces are made to last forever. 10K and 14k gold will not oxidize or discolor, so you can wear your jewelry every day, everywhere.
✨ What is Gold Vermeil? Our vermeil pieces (ver-may) consist of a thick layer of 14K gold over solid sterling silver.
The thickness of the gold layer is what sets vermeil jewelry apart from simple gold-plated pieces. All our vermeil jewelry is coated with 3 Microns (0.003mm) of gold and protected with an e-coating.
Gold vermeil is a fantastic option for building a collection of high-quality jewelry.
